Description
This is a museum and planetarium built on the old estate of the Vanderbilt family. The museum is decently sized, with many exhibits to see, a planetarium, and even outdoor grounds that have paths to walk on with scenic views of either the neighboring nature sights or architecture. The staff and tours are very informative while still being friendly. The museum/grounds are clean and maintained. Overall, a quiet environment with a good view of exhibits or nature.
There are clean bathrooms available in the museum. There is a dedicated parking lot for the museum with plenty of space, so parking should not be an issue. The general admission fee is $14 per person, and a tour is $8 per person.
