Description
Barrier-peninsula park with seven miles of ocean beach- es, scenic bayside views, historic military sites, and a paved multi-use bike path. Visitors can explore Fort Hancock's historic buildings, Sandy Hook Lighthouse (the oldest working lighthouse in the US), fishing areas, bird-watching habitats, and walking trails through dunes and maritime forests.
There is a $20 charge per day for beach parking from the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. All toll booths are cashless and accept credit, debit, and contactless payment only. Check their website for more information.
