The itrepid is a unique museum where the main spot is on retired military ships. The main exhibits of the museum are themed around military history. The exhibits range from old aircraft, marine vehicles, and even space shuttle exhibits. The site of the museum is pretty big, and there will be a lot of walking with views of the retired ship/aircraft.

Walking up to the pier, the entrance is located right off 12th Avenue. There can be lines for purchasing tickets, so it's recommended to order tickets online. The price of admission for adults is $38 per person, seniors for $36, children for $28, and children under 4 enter for free. There is a local NYC discount for 50% off.
